2 Distribution map of Anagotus in Aotearoa

This is derived from label data contained in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (NZAC). Most location data is a place name and as such the exact coordinates are unknown. To generate this map a small amount of “jitter” (factor = 0.1) is used to add noise to each specimens coordinate, reducing species being overlaid directly on top of one another.

The genus is under revision and names may change. The species names with “n.sp.” suffix refer to the names found in the NZAC collection and may not be the final name as this project progresses.

The database and locations are still being cleaned so maps/data should be viewed with a pinch of salt.
